Russ Breshears, DVM

Russ graduated from Kansas State University as a veterinarian in 1989.  Dr. Breshears started in Onaga, Kansas as a mixed animal veterinarian for three years.  He started working in Marysville in 1992 at Valley Vet Clinic  as a mixed animal veterinarian.  Russ and his wife Regina purchased the vet clinic in 1997 and renamed it "Pony Express Veterinary Clinic".  Since then, Russ has focused on large animal medicine; building a busy practice from Northeast Kansas to Southeast Nebraska.  Russ especially enjoys surgery; including large animal surgeries as well as orthopedic small animal surgeries.  Outside of work, Russ enjoys playing and coaching softball with his five daughters and attending all of the girls' activities in both sports and school.  He also enjoys hunting when he has time and snorkeling during beach vacations with his family.  

Regina Breshears, DVM

Regina graduated from Kansas State Univerity as a Veterinarian in 1995.  Dr. Breshears has worked exclusively on small animals for the past 22 years.  She loves taking time with her clients and especially enjoys new puppies and kittens.  She takes the time to work up medical cases with proper diagnostics and the latest and safest treatments for your pets.  Regina and her husband have owned and operated Pony Express Veterinary Clinic since 1997.  They have five daughters (two sets of identical twins) aged 21, 21, 16, 16, and 7.  Regina enjoys reading, baking homemade desserts, and is learning to play the piano.  She has had K-State season football tickets for 30 years and bleeds purple!  She loves to visit Key West where she enjoys snorkeling and beach activities with her family.  Regina is most proud of the "Good Samaritan Adoption Program" she started in 1999, which has placed more than 1,200 dogs and cats with loving homes.  

Mary Koerperich - Office Manager

Mary grew up on a dairy farm outside of Seneca and graduated from B&B High School in Baileyville, KS. She moved to Marysville in 1992 and began working for Valley Vet Clinic in the spring of 1993, continuing at the clinic when it was acquired by Drs. Breshears in 1997 and changed to Pony Express Vet Clinic. Mary has a daughter Kelsey, a son Kaleb, and a dog Phoebe. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working in her yard, walking, and riding her bike.
