ABOUT:

The Good Samaritan Adoption Program was started as a way to find loving homes for the stray animals of Marysville as an alternative to euthanasia.  The program was started by Dr. Regina Breshears in 1999 and has placed more than 1,200 dogs and cats in their forever homes.  We do not euthanize no matter how long it takes to find a home.  The Good Samaritan Adoption Program is supported monetarily solely by donations.  There is no adoption fee, but we do ask that you make a donation upon adoption to help offset the cost.  When adopting a pet, we require a rabies vaccination since it is mandated by law, strongly recommend either spay or neuter (which is half price for pets adopted through the Good Samaritan Program), and ask that you continue to provide necessary care to maintain the health and wellness of your pet (vaccinations, check-ups, and monthly heartworm and flea preventatives).
