We provide services for cattle, equine, small ruminants, and swine.

Cattle

Vaccinations and Processing:

We offer application of vaccinations and processing services.  We can offer you the peace of mind that the vaccines were stored under the right conditions and applied correctly, maximizing the likelihood of an immunologic response.  You can rest assured that the processing services such as castration and dehorning are done correctly so you don't have problems with bleeding, failure of the bands, missed testicles, scur regrowth, etc.  Also, it is our goal to move cattle through as quickly and efficiently as possible, minimizing the stress response that can cause immunosuppression.

Reproduction:

Our reproductive services include pregnancy diagnosis by transrectal palpation or ultrasound, pelvic area measurement of yearling heifers, estrus synchronization, obstetric assistance, and Cesarean section.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

We perform a complete physical examination on your sick animal and recommend realistic and production-oriented treatment recommendations.

Lameness Exams:

90% of all causes of lameness in cattle are in the foot. We have a hydraulic tilt chute that allows us to examine the hooves very closely to pinpoint the cause of the lameness, whether it is foot rot, an abscess, tendon damage, etc. Determining the exact cause allows us to perform the treatment necessary to quickly heal the cause of the lameness, getting your animal back out there to start producing as soon as possible.

Pharmacy

We have a fully stocked pharmacy to give you immediate access to the best prescription-only treatment options.

Bull Breeding Soundness Exams

We provide comprehensive Fertility Exams on your bulls. This includes evaluation for any musculoskeletal problems that might hinder the bull's ability to breed, evaluation of the testicles, extension of the penis to examine for tumors, adhesions, persistent frenulums, etc., and microscopic examination of the semen to evaluate sperm motility and cell shape. Breeding Soundness Exams are a valuable tool for removing subfertile bulls from the breeding pasture to boost pregnancy rates.

Neonatal Calf Health

Many sick calves can benefit from IV fluid therapy. Let us diagnose the cause of the sickness, whether it is scours, navel ill, pneumonia, or anything else, and provide the best treatment for that specific problem.

Herd Health Consultation

Having problems? Or do you just want to make sure that you are doing everything that you can to prevent problems from arising? Come on in and talk to Doc Russ or Doc Tony so they can evaluate your current health protocol, environmental and disease introduction risk factors, and examine sick animals as needed. They can then develop a herd health plan with your input that is individualized to your specific situation.

Necropsy

We are able to perform postmortem examinations. Many times, gross examination of the tissues (what we can see without a microscope) will give us answers about what likely happened, but we can also collect tissues for evaluation by a diagnostic lab for the cases we would like to confirm our suspicions or for those that have no grossly visible tissue changes.
